GBA Revamp!

Greetings JvS Friends,

Today is a sad day in the history of the Galactic Battle Arena. After this last tournament we have noticed that the system we never thought would be broken, has... and this troubles us. Our goal as a GBA staff is to put the best product out there for our users, and over the past few months we have failed to do that. This will be rectified, and the GBA will come back stronger, however the only way to fix this broken system is to stop it completely and restart it, building a strong foundation to make sure it stands for a long time.

That is why we will be shutting down the GBA as of the Championship round of the tournament to break down and discuss further matters of importance. The plan is to be re-open within a 2 to 3 month period of shutting down, hence why we are starting the shut down earlier, and hopefully be gone so short you barely notice. The only real changes that will happen during this "closed" time will be that A) We will not make any new duels until re-opening, and B) We will not judge any duels until re-opening. If you have a duel already started you can continue on that duel, and we will wait to judge it until after the clean up. The training area will still be open so you can keep your skills up and sharp, while also training the next batch of duelists.

We thank you for you concideration when it comes to this, and trust us it hurts us a lot to admit the flaws of our favorite part of the site, but the time has come to fix it. During this time we will also be looking to add to our number of judges, so if you would like to put your name forwards feel free to post here. Also, if you feel that you have a good idea to help boost the GBA, please post it here, and discussions are allowed, but no arguing on our boards.

Finally we just want to say thank you to all those that have participated in the GBA thus far, and make a promise to you all that we are going to work to bring this place back to what it once was. With that in mind, keep helping us however you can, and keep dueling.
